Hi, and welcome to my website. My name is Erling Ellingsen and I work as Director of Communications at Funcom, a world leading developer and publisher of massively multiplayer online games. You might be familiar with some of our games such as Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, Anarchy Online and the upcoming modern-day massively multiplayer online game The Secret World.

I have been an industry professional for many years, having previously worked as a journalist in both the mainstream media and the gaming media before joining Funcom a few years ago. In my position at Funcom I work with communication, positioning, marketing, and media strategies for all of our games. I am an avid gamer, but in my spare time I also enjoy music, movies and especially travel. Oh, and I have to admit I love musical theatre!

I am eager to share my knowledge and experience with others, and I have participated in panel debates and served as an active speaker on gaming industry topics at events around the world. And though I prefer to stay on the marketing side of the business, I also have some experience with game development - mostly small scale stuff such as the decade old Era Online (see Wikipedia).
